Getting to the city centre

The airport is about 12 km northeast of central Xiamen. Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and buses from T3 and T4 reach downtown (Zhongshan Road) in about 40 min for a small fare. Taxi to centre roughly 20-30 min.

Main Xiamen Airlines hub with international routes to Southeast Asia. T3 handles international and domestic flights, T4 mostly domestic. Trade city hosting the CIFIT fair. Halal facilities limited. A new airport (Xiang'an) is under construction.

🔄 Getting from the airport to the train stations

Xiamen North Railway Station: The airport has no metro. Take bus 650 or the BRT for about 3 yuan in roughly 40 to 50 minutes, the cheapest option, or a taxi for about 60 yuan.
Xiamen Railway Station: Take the BRT or an ordinary bus to the city centre for 1 to 3 yuan in roughly 30 minutes, a shuttle bus for about 15 to 20 yuan, or a taxi for about 30 yuan.
