🚇 Getting to the city centre
~21.5 km from the city centre. No metro; airport buses to the centre and railway station, taxi ~30-40 min. Opened December 2021, replacing Baitabu Airport.
New airport, renamed 'International' in 2024 with first international route launched December 2024. Limited halal dining; plan ahead.
🔄 Getting from the airport to the train stations
Lianyungang Huaguoshan International Airport (LYG) is a newer airport over 30 km from the city.
Lianyungang Railway Station (regular and high-speed): the best option is the dedicated airport bus line, about 75 minutes for ¥22, running roughly every 40-60 minutes. Alternatively a taxi takes about 1 hour for ¥73-100. There is no free option and no direct metro link.
