Getting to the city centre

About 60 km southwest of Lhasa via the airport expressway (about 1 hour). The airport shuttle bus (~CNY 30) runs to the CAAC office on Niangre Road near the Potala Palace. Taxi is roughly CNY 200-260 in about 52 min.

Tibet's only international airport, at about 3,570 m elevation. International flights to Kathmandu (Nepal). Beware altitude sickness; take it easy on arrival. Frequent domestic flights to Chengdu, Xi'an and Beijing.
