🔄 Getting from the airport to the train stations

Note: Metro Line 3 serves the airport via Airport North station (Terminals 2 and 3); Terminal 1 closed in 2026.
Guangzhou South Railway Station: Take Line 3 to Jiahewanggang and transfer to Line 2 to the South Station; about 1 hour 15 minutes for ¥9, the cheapest. A taxi is about ¥150.
Guangzhou Railway Station: Line 3 to Jiahewanggang then Line 2 to Guangzhou Station; about 45 minutes for ¥7. Airport bus (Line 1) also reaches the station for about ¥16 in roughly an hour.
Guangzhou East Railway Station: Line 3 to the East Station for about ¥6 in roughly 45 minutes.
Guangzhou North Railway Station: This is the closest, in Huadu (about 12 km); fastest by airport bus or taxi at about ¥40–50 in roughly 20 minutes, with metro possible via Line 9.
Nansha North Railway Station (formerly Qingsheng): Far to the south; metro with transfers takes about 1.5 hours, and a taxi is about ¥250.
Guangzhou Xintang Railway Station: East in Zengcheng; Line 3 with a transfer to Line 21, or an airport bus; a taxi is about ¥120.
Zengcheng Railway Station: Far east; metro via Line 21 with transfers, and a taxi is about ¥150.
Guangzhou West Railway Station: Reachable by metro with a transfer for about ¥7–9; a taxi is about ¥100.
